Luca Using EQUIP as data sharing service inside the MUSE System

The Muse System has not the capability to share data among the various clients.I used EQUIP as data sharing engine to introduce inside the Muse System the feature of showing on the client’s map the relative position of the other clients. Furthermore, I used the network disconnection support of EQUIP to detect when the network connection goes down and when it goes up again. This work had the aim to underline how much effort is needed to integrate EQUIP inside an existing application, on one hand, and how much effort is required to introduce a new feature inside the Muse System, on the other hand. In this talk I will show a demonstration of my work, explaining how I got those results.

"ARGUI is a window system for ARToolkit based Augmented Reality applications under Windows. It allows for easy creation of interactive two-dimensional interfaces that are registered in 3D. ARGUI has been the technical part of my diploma thesis about two dimensional interaction surfaces in Augmented Reality. Project homepage: http://projekt.medieninformatik.de/argui/"
