How to find the MRL

The Mixed Reality Laboratory is based at the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus, Nottingham, NG8 1BB.

Travelling to Jubilee Campus

Between campuses: A hopper bus travels regularly between Jubilee Campus and University Park. Bus timetables are available from Estate Office, or from the Enquiry Desk at Jubilee Campus. Jubilee Campus also offers secure bicycle stands for 600 cyclists and an extended network of cycle paths.

By car: Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. After five miles turn left onto the A6514, Middleton Boulevard. Turn right at the next roundabout onto the A609 Wollaton Road. The main entrance to Jubilee Campus is clearly signposted on the right.

By rail: Nottingham’s mainline station, close to the City Centre, has excellent inter-city services to London (only 105 minutes) and to other major cities including Manchester (108 minutes) and Birmingham (72 minutes).

By coach: Nottingham’s Broadmarsh Bus Station has express coach services to and from London, Edinburgh and many other UK cities. The station is only a few minutes’ walk from the City Centre.

By air: East Midlands Airport is approximately ten miles south of Jubilee Campus, just off junctions 23A/24 of the M1 motorway. There are regular flights to and from Scotland, Ireland, the Channel Islands and mainland Europe. The journey by taxi from the airport takes about 30 minutes.

By bus: Nottingham City Transport service number 28 from Parliament Street, in the City Centre, is the most frequent service during both daytime and evenings. Alternative services from Parliament Street in the daytimes (up to 5.30pm) are numbers 11 and 25.

By taxi: There are taxi ranks throughout the City Centre and immediately adjacent to the main railway and bus stations. The journey to the campus takes about 15 minutes.

Finding the MRL at Jubilee Campus

The Mixed Reality Laboratory is based at the School of Computer Science, which can be found towards the centre of the Jubilee Campus.  Click here for a campus map.

Enter the School of Computer Science via the main entrance (by the lakeside) and go left into the atrium area.

Go through the glass doors at the back of the atrium and take the stairs up to the 1st (B) floor.

Take a right at the stair exit to head into the north wing.

The MRL is located in the B floor’s north wing.
