Since 1997 has been researching videoconferencing technologies from a psychological perspective. In particular the processes and performance of communicative interactions under different application contexts and varying technical implementations including mixed reality. Recent projects have been funded from the European Community ACTS programme, ESRC and British Telecom.
research interests
Use of videocommunications and multimedia technology to support teaching and learning, theoretical aspects of face-to-face communication and the development of methods to evaluate video-mediated communication.
