
Gail Hopkins (née Reynard) is a lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology. Following her first degree in Genetics, she took a conversion Masters degree in Information Technology, and then an MSc in Computer Science. She then completed a PhD entitled “A Framework for Awareness Driven Video Quality of Service in Collaborative Virtual Environments”.
research interests
Computer-aided communication with particular respect to interface issues and the transmission of non-verbal communication to enhance interaction. Virtual environments to help users with disabilities in rehabilitation and as a learning tool for users both with and without disabilities.
