Hazel Glover is the MRL Director of Operations at the University of Nottingham, based in the Mixed Reality Laboratory on Jubilee Campus, as well as the Centre Manager for the Horizon Doctoral Training Centre.  She has been involved in organising several conferences, such as the Pervasive and Locative Network event at the ICA, London in February 2005, and she also acted as the Treasurer and Local Arrangements Chair for UbiComp 2004, which was held in Nottingham in September 2004.

In 2004 she successfully completed a PhD, entitled “A Comparative Study of University Administrative Systems”, which looks at the factors which influence and are influenced by the centralisation or decentralisation of student administration. More details of this research are available here.  Further research as part of an MA in Higher Education in 2010 examined the issues faced by cross-disciplinary PhD students.

In her spare time, Hazel enjoys walking in Derbyshire and is a member of Derbyshire Weekend Walkers group.
