Slushy
is the rather affectionate term for kitchen hand! You
start in the kitchen at 8am and leave again about 7.30pm. You have tasks
like "cleaning the fat frier" and "restocking jam/sauce
shelves" depending on the day in question. In addition you wash any
pot the chef creates (and sometimes it feels like they appear from thin
air at a rapid rate) and assist the chef as required.
In winter
the chef has a day off on sunday and so there are 2 slushy's - one as
chef and the other as slushy! You also do four days of slushy on the trot.
As a bonus you get to choose the music that everyone listens to all day. |
